Hi all.
Well, it's been a while! I've been extremely busy. Work is...interesting. I start my weeks with a schedule hovering around 37 hours, but it always ends up over 40, and very often closer to 60. The hours are also those fun retail hours that mean you spend every waking moment at work and then you go home, eat, sleep, and then get up to do it all over again. I've also been through emotional/financial hell and back in the last couple of months, and it looks like I'm just getting started, so we'll see how long I'm available to have some down time for.
As for my art and stories...I mean, I love to write and draw for you guys, but I'm 20 years old and trying to make something of myself. And fast. I hate stagnating at the same level for long periods of time. I always try to push the envelope. So, I hate to say it, but they always have to come second, unless I'm getting paid. I keep saying I'll update tomorrow, or I'll update within a week, and then something comes up and that doesn't happen. Tonight and tomorrow I intend to crank out SOMETHING to add to the gallery, but it probably won't be much, in my current state of mind.
I DO have another job that's taking up a lot of my attention, too. I picked up a freelance illustration job for an upcoming children's book. It's got a very interesting premise and will be a great tool for certain parties. It's a lot of work, but I'm happy to be aboard! And it should be highly lucrative. Who knows? I might actually be able to buy a car soon. Maybe even move out and actually be a self-sufficient adult. Maybe. Fingers crossed.
Anyway, I'll keep this short and sweet so I can get some writing in. Might actually get rid of some of my pent up anger and despair. We'll see.
